Blood Test requested by hospital. Consultant wrote to my GP requesting a test form be generated . Attended Southport Hospital Phlebotomy Clinic as told by GP/Consultant "Came back to the hospital and have the blood test done".
At Southport Phlebotomy Clinic I was told to attend Ormskirk Hospital. Notice on door telling patients not to wait around but to ring/email for appointment. The door to the clinic was open and the sign could not be read by patients in the waiting area. I was unaware that forms generated by the Surgery could not be used at Southport Hospital. The treatment I received was excellent, however being told that I am supposed to travel to Ormskirk for a 5 minute appointment seems a nonsense, especially If I have to arrange transport.
