Sometimes you ring up and you’re thirtieth in the queue and then they’re all gone. If there’s no appointments left they don’t ask you what you wanted an appointment for, they just tell you to call 111 or, if it’s an emergency, call an ambulance. It’s easier to get through on Patches but they’ll still only signpost you to the walk-in and you can be waiting there for up to 8hrs.
