Nothing went well, it's appalling!!!
I've been housebound since 2017, which was the last time I saw a dentist. Last year, I heard of an NHS community dental service. Nobody, anywhere knew anything about it, or even where to refer me to, just that such a service existed. Eventually, NHS England gave me a contact telephone number, which I've called. I never received any form of contact from the voicemails I left. It's bad enough that the dentist surgeries were allowed to kick NHS patients off their service to begin with, let alone a woman in my circumstances.
I'm unable to push to get out often because of life limiting chronic conditions and dynamic disabilities. I'm not the only one feeling let down by this. Where's the services for those who housebound, disabled, Neurodivergent, or any other form of accommodations?
Where's our access to the things able-bodied people automatically have? I was able-bodied and now I must use a wheelchair permanently. I have experienced life from both perspectives and let me say, there's no where near 25% of the services accessible to differently able-bodied people, than able-bodied individuals automatically have access to, without a moment's thought otherwise.
