Difficult to travel to maternity services
Summary: Difficult to travel to maternity services
Star rating based on difficulty to get to the service.
When I was pregnant, I had a travel issue. I was in Waterloo and having to travel to Ormskirk hospital for scans. Light for Life supported me as I was homeless. The bus took about 1.5 hours to get there. Transport was very difficult. When I had my baby, the ambulance was good and arrived within 5 minutes.
I have spent time in the mother and baby unit in Tuebrook, but I didn’t like it. I have just got a home in Waterloo about 2 weeks ago and I get to see my baby for 1 hour each day a a centre in Seaforth. Yesterday I registered with Eastview surgery. I never had a doctor when I was homeless.
