Induction, labour and birth were excellent. Support from gestational diabetes team was also excellent. Antenatal consultant care could have been better linked to the team managing birth as the consultants concerns were very different to the midwives supporting the birth (which mirrored my own concerns), who had previous experiences of supporting woman with one of my conditions. The antenatal appointments then felt as though they had been a bit pointless other than checking my blood tests for anaemia. My consultant also changed part way through and the second consultant had a very different approach to the first one who had been excellent and very reassuring.
