Issue with prescribed inhaler

Overall Rating:

Summary: Issue with prescribed inhaler

North Park Health Centre – I have the blue inhaler (fast acting relief) and have done for over 30 years. I had an appointment to see a nurse with my asthma and she said we don’t give them anymore you have to just use your morning / night inhaler. I said but what if I have shortage of breath, feel I can’t breathe, she said you just have to use that one. I felt so worried. I have spoken to the doctor who put the blue inhaler back on my repeat prescription but the nurse has taken it off again. I am not sure this is a wider issue for patients or if this is just our nurse deciding this?
