Liverpool sleep and ventilation service.
Summary: Liverpool sleep and ventilation service.
I arrived at Aintree Hospital very overwhelmed, chest pain , breathing heavy, a little lightheaded. I spoke to the receptionist and told her how I didn’t feel right . She was extremely calm and reassured me she would inform them right away to take a seat . Instantly she was off sorting it out . A lovely young man arrived (I am sorry didn’t catch their names) he sat with me and calmly asked how it all felt and dissected my morning so far. He said he would take my Obs. All the time chatting and asking questions regarding my wellbeing. After my BP was little high, Oxygen levels a little low . We concluded I was anxious and a little stressed out. I was happy with that . He did say check in with my GP and what signs to watch out for if it takes a turn.
I had my first Sleep review with Sophie. I was slightly excited as I felt my Sleep Apnea was a big problem. Talking to Sophie and going through the therapy was amazing . She was very professional but kind. Answering all my questions and concerns. Used humour to put me at ease whilst gently helping me be calm and confident that all will help . Chose a mask that’s like a feather on my face . Explained everything with confidence and gave me that confidence to get started. I do believe Sophie’s help was critical in my treatment. I have only used my machine twice and Wow… I feel like a new person. I don’t wake up 5/8 times a night . I actually sleep. The machine soothes me and helps me go off to sleep ( also my history tv too ) my aches and pains in mornings are gone , no naps in day , my eyes actually feel open , cooked dinner without sitting down , I could go on and on
Thank you . I haven’t felt like this in years .. even listening to music , you helped me find my Joy Thank you so much .
