Long waiting times
Summary: Long waiting times
I was sent to Aintree Hospital by my GP. I was there for eight and a half hours. I waited two hours before I had my bloods done, had to wait another hour for my ECG and then I had to wait for results. The staff were incredible, I know they’re busy, the system just doesn’t work. I was there because I was having really bad dizzy spells. No one checked on me while I was waiting and no one offered me any medication either. They didn’t offer me a drink or anything to eat and if you did get up to move, you lost your seat. Because of the dizzy spells I was scared to get up and there was another woman waiting who would get me some water. They changed all my medication and told me to take tablets for seven days but if they don’t work, to go back to my GP and ask for an ENT referral. I went home but had to go back to Aintree Hospital the next day because by the time I’d had all my tests and results, the pharmacy onsite had closed. Two days wasted.
