Summary: Long waiting times

My GP referred me to Southport Hospital for a liver scan but didn't put urgent on the referral. They told me to stop taking my statins as, I assume, they thought I would be seen quickly but I've been waiting for five weeks. I've rang the hospital twice and they told me that I could still be waiting two more weeks. That takes me up to seven weeks without taking my medication and I don't know what impact that's going to have because no one has explained it to me.
