There are only three doctors at Kew, but they only work one a day. They’ve taken lots of staff on but you never get to see the doctors. I went in recently over my eye, they sent me to A&E and then sent me to St. Paul’s. St. Paul’s was fantastic. The told me to come straight to them next time. Another time I went to the GP because I had a water infection and was getting dizzy. They gave me tablets but they didn’t work. I rang up and asked for more. They said they couldn’t give me more without seeing me but then said that they couldn’t see me. They just sent me to Ormskirk Hospital. I had a diabetes check. The nurse only asked me who puts my socks on, I told her I put my own socks on. When I got home I checked my NHS app and on the notes she had put that she’d taken my weight, checked my blood pressure, and checked my legs. She hadn’t done any of those things. I made a formal complaint about that. Another time I went in over my legs and I always have either my wife or my wife’s sister come in with me. The medical records on the NHS app said that the doctor had checked my left knee but I went in over my right leg. When I first complained about the medical notes, I didn’t get a call back until I threatened to take it further.
