I have problems with my skin. I went to Ormskirk Hospital and had one lesion removed, all fine. I found another one, had that removed, and now nothing. I then received a phone call saying I had DNA’d two appointments and that letters had been sent. I told her that I hadn’t received anything. I was then given an appointment for a Saturday which I thought was a bit weird but she said there was a backlog. I drove there from Southport and went into the same room that I had been taken into previously for the op. There was a doctor and two nurses in the room and the doctor said to me, ‘do you know why you’re here today?’ They told me that they wanted to removed the lesion that they had already removed. The doctor and the two nurses all inspected the removal site to make sure that the lesion was definitely removed. The doctor told me that I should complain. It was really distressing. What if I had been someone more vulnerable. I complained to PAL’s and haven’t heard anything since.
