New Blinx system worse than old one.
Summary: New Blinx system worse than old one.
Whilst the 8am telephone booking system for a GP appointment was unsatisfactory , one could at least join a queue, eventually get to the front and usually get an appointment. The new system is retrograde and whilst It might relieve GP admin staff of a lot of work it completely fails patients. I had a text message to use a 'Blinx' system to get a face to face appointment with GP to discuss a recent procedure at local hospital. I tried the system {Which referred to a telephone appointment, not face to face} and was told to 're-try'. I did this countless times over the day and again the next day without success. Messages are not received and apparently cannot be queued. This leads to an extraordinarily long process over hours or days with no prospect or hope of making contact. The message said if it doesn't work to contact the surgery. I did so on telephone but was told I had to just keep trying. This is most unsatisfactory and the new system is clearly a dismal retrograde and worse system than the former one. I will keep trying all day today but since the message continually reports 'no availability' I am not hopeful of having any success. This is NOT a complaint about my surgery which is 'hog-tied' by the system but of the stupid new system introduced by the government.
