Summary: Poor communication/ left waiting
I had not been feeling well and was vomiting and had breathing problems but not covid, i rang 111 who told me to go to the GP on call service at Southport hospital, the GP advised i should go to A & E urgently. It was overcrowded, and due to covid restrictions/ advice at the time i was told to wait outside. The receptionist came outside and gave me a blanket but i was still cold. I waited for hours and wondered if i had been forgotten about. I was not offered water or refreshments and i was not sure if i could go in and use the toilet. I was eventually seen in A & E and was prescribed medication from from the pharmacy. It was 4 o'clock in the morning and i had been waiting six hours.
