Summary: Poor service

My son was referred to Adult Social Care (ASC). Social worker never came to the house or saw him in person, they only met on Teams as she said she worked from home. They told me that they had completed a report but I never received it. They said that his health care plan was coming to an end as he turned 25. This health care plan had not been updated since 2017 and wasn’t relevant to who he is now. The social worker asked me to go to the GP and request a Speech & Language referral but the GP couldn’t do that because my son can talk. You have to fight for your kids to get support and you shouldn’t have to.
