Referred to St Helens for biopsy

Summary: Referred to St Helens for biopsy
I attended Ormskirk dermatology team regarding two skin issues. The consultant examined, photographed both, appointment went well, said I would need to attend St Helens to have a biopsy.
I arranged a friend to give me a lift, I'm 83 and have some mobility issues. I went in and the consultant didn't do anything, had a brief look and told me I needed a biopsy but didn't do anything! Was a complete waste of time, I felt awful that I'd asked friend to take me and nothing was done. I now have to wait 3-4 weeks for another appointment and will have to arrange transport again. Very poor communication and I have the worry of waiting and going again. Waste of appointment time and letters, why couldn't biopsy be done at Ormskirk?
