Standard of care has been falling.

Overall Rating:

Summary: Standard of care has been falling.

Mum has been self funding in a residential care home for over 3 years. During this time the fees have been increasing at an alarming rate whilst the standard of care has been falling at a similarly alarming rate e.g. lack of staff, poorly trained staff, high staff turnover, lack of vital equipment such as wheelchairs etc, dirty bedrooms etc. Unfortunately, during this time mum’s dementia has worsened and her eyesight diminished so she is virtually blind - making it impossible to move her without it having a severe impact on her well being.
I strongly feel that mum should be assessed now for nursing care, especially as she is averaging one fall a week, all of which result in a call to the ambulance service to get her medically assessed with several visits to A& E resulting!
