Summary: Unable to get new wheelchair for child
My daughter has outgrown the wheelchair we use for journeys to and from school and for school trips out. We have been told by wheelchair services they no longer supply these for use to and from and school trips, for out door use basically. She has health conditions and we prefer to use the wheelchair to make the journeys outside rather than use taxis. Our social worker directed us to wheelchair services who can't help. They gave us a letter with different services on who can't help us either. OT told us we can measure for a new wheelchair if we want to try and get one elsewhere but how can she do this correctly. Worried about someone getting hurt, needs proper advice. Spoken to Mersey Care PALS but they know nothing about it, just getting sent round in circles.
