Summary: Waiting time's too long

We’ve been waiting for our home to be assessed by Adult Social Care Visual Impairment Team but we’ve been told that we have to wait 8-10 weeks just for a phone call. We referred ourselves to the team and we were just told that we had to wait 8-10 weeks. We haven’t had any check in to see how he’s getting on. It’s a degenerative disease, he will lose his sight. We’re trying to put things in place but it’s so hard just to get from A to B. I’ve changed since all this. We’ve had to start taking things into our own hands. We live in a shared ownership property and we’ve had to put tape on the stairs to prevent any accidents, we know we’re going to be told off about it. We are supposed to be having a phone call with **** to discuss the issues but, again, we only got that through Galloway’s and we don’t know when that will happen either.
